  • Follow the regular greeting instructions. Ask children about the current weather conditions and guide them to mark it properly on the weather card.

Activity 2: Don't Alarm the Monkey
Materials: A small bell.
  • Make children sit in a large circle. Instruct one student to pretend to be a sleeping monkey in the center.
  • The remaining children must pass the bell silently to each other around the circle. The sound of the bell should not be heard.
  • If the bell rings, the monkey wakes up and takes the seat of the child who held the bell. That child then becomes the next monkey. Repeat the cycle.

Activity 3: My Favourite Doll
Materials: Different types of dolls (Paper doll, puppets, wooden dolls, woollen dolls, cloth dolls, stick dolls, or locally available toys).
  • Seat the children in a comfortable semicircle. Place a variety of toys on a tray in the center.
  • Call children one by one to freely choose a doll of their preference from the tray.
  • Ask individual open-ended questions about the chosen doll to spark self-expression.

Day 11 Activity Plan

Period & Subject Activity Details & Methodology
Period 1 Greet, Meet & Conversation Activity 1: I am a Vegetable
Materials required: Picture cards of different types of vegetables. (Time: 5 minutes)
  • Show vegetable picture cards one by one. Instruct children to look at the cards and enter the class by stating the name and color of the vegetable.
  • Example: "I am carrot. Orange carrots."

Activity 2: Calendar & Weather
  • Instruct children to stand in a circle. Greet them and ask: "What day is today?". Encourage the answer "Today is Monday".
  • Ask about the weather and guide them to mark it on the weather map.

Activity 3: Season Talk
Materials needed: Flashcards related to seasonal clothing (Cotton clothing, sweaters, hats, socks, raincoats, monkey caps).
  • Use a TV remote simulation game to give a child their turn to pick a flashcard from the center of the circle.
  • The child should speak using the following sentence structure:
    1. I wear this dress every now and then.
    2. I wear this dress during summer season.
    3. It is very hot/cold/rainy during this season.
    4. Why do I wear this dress?
  • Continue until all children have a turn.
Period 2 My Time (4 Corners)

The teacher will introduce the scheduled corner-wise activities and how to use the learning materials. Ask questions to ensure understanding.

1. Math Corner
Ability: Classifies objects based on size, height, and weight (heaviness-lightness); compares numbers symbolically.
Objective: To classify heavy and light objects.
Materials: Plastic ball, rubber ball, cardboards, coin, cotton, etc. of different weights.
Method: After experiencing the materials, children divide them into heavy and light categories.
2. Discovery / Science Corner
Ability: Develops scientific, exploratory, and thinking attitudes.
Objective: To identify water-soluble/insoluble substances.
Materials: Transparent plastic cups, water, sand, salt, crystal, paint, etc.
Method: Fill two half-glasses of water. Add salt to one and sand to another, then stir. Observe and notice the visible changes after a few moments.
3. Dolls Corner
Ability: Develops beauty, personal hygiene, and expressive skills.
Objective: To demonstrate good practices for cleanliness awareness.
Materials: Doll, handicraft, towel, nail cutter, toy plate, comb, napkin.
Method: The child performs daily cleaning habits on the doll (brushing teeth, washing face, cutting nails, eating breakfast, sleeping) to demonstrate good hygiene.
4. Building Blocks Corner
Ability: Achieves hand-eye coordination.
Objective: To acquire the skill of arranging blocks systematically as directed.
Materials: Learning kit blocks (or soap boxes, matchboxes, paste boxes, books of different sizes).
Method: Arrange the available blocks in a train pattern.
5. Reading / Classroom Library Corner
Ability: Develops comprehension, imagination, and expressive ability with reading pictures.
Objective: To recognize and identify differences.
Materials: Two pictures with subtle differences.
Method: Give students the two pictures containing 3 to 4 variations and ask them to find and point out the differences.
6. Writing Corner
Ability: Create letter designs by engaging children in writing practices.
Objective: To develop preparatory skills necessary for writing.
Materials: Drawing sheet, white sheets, pencil, bangle, coin, lids, matchbox.
Method: Create different geometric or daily figures on sheets using the provided objects.
7. Toy / Do-It-Yourself Corner
Ability: Ability to think independently with creativity.
Objective: To follow directions in a systematic manner.
Materials: Colored papers.
Method: Children perform origami activities as per instructions. Note: Teacher should model this activity a couple of times beforehand and assist where necessary.
8. Home for Handicrafts / Arts
Ability: Uses aesthetics, creativity, and fine motor muscular development.
Objective: To understand the eye-hand relationship.
Materials: White paper, pencil, crayons.
Method: Place the hand open on a white sheet. Trace the outline of the hand and fingers with a pencil, then fill it with their favorite colors.
Period 3 Basic Numerical Knowledge
Ability: Comparing, environmental awareness, imagination of color, shape, and sizes.
Objective: To touch and count accurately.
Activity: Touch Count and See
Materials: Blocks, crayons, crystals, bottle caps, balls, beads.
Method: Line up five or more objects (blocks, chalk, bottle caps, etc.). Instruct the children to touch each object one by one while counting aloud.
Period 4 Creative Arts
Competency: Cultivate pro-social attitudes, respect the feelings/rights of others, help the community, and respect different professions.
Objective: Increases perceptual power and identifies roles of community helpers.
Activity: My Community Helpers
Materials: Flashcards of various professions.
Method: Selected children role-play/act as specific community helpers while the remaining children observe, identify, and discuss their roles.
Period 5 Language Development Activity: Blackboard Shared Writing
Method: The teacher writes prominently on the blackboard in front of the children (writing children's names, names of pictures drawn by children). Allow children to observe the correct order and direction of writing, and encourage them to identify words as the teacher writes.
Period 6 Outdoor Games
Ability: To improve concentration and breathing control.
Activity: Simple Breathing Activities (Exhale)
Method: Instruct children to sit comfortably with their eyes closed and back straight. Place both hands on the thighs in a simple mudra posture and guide them to inhale and exhale slowly and deeply.
Period 7 Story Time
Ability: Improves mindfulness and focus before transitioning.
Activity: Deep Relaxation & Breathing
Method: Guide children to sit with a straight posture and closed eyes. Using a simple mudra on their thighs, let them focus entirely on slow inhalation and exhalation to improve overall concentration.
Period 8 See You Again
  • Recall: Review and recall all the learning experiences and activities performed on Day 11.
  • Home Connection: Encourage children to share everything they did today with their parents and family members.
  • Farewell Ritual: Arrange a brief, joyful closing event to ensure children leave happy and excited for tomorrow. Plan or facilitate a simple "do-it-yourself" takeaway task.
