Day 10 Activity Plan

Period & Subject Activity Details & Methodology
Period 1 Greet, Meet & Conversation Activity 1: Ice Breaker
  • Children enter the classroom making a brushing gesture and greeting "Hi Teacher".
  • Teacher responds with "Namaste, good morning", calls each child by name, and asks "How are you today?" (Encourage them to reply: "I'm fine, thanks.")
  • Ask "What day is today?" to get the response "Today is Wednesday".
  • Form a circle and march past saying "Little baby, little baby" using a drum to make it fun (Ensure knees are properly bent and feet touch the floor).

Activity 2: Balloon Time
  • Divide children into groups of 4 or 5 and provide one balloon to each group.
  • Instruct them to blow up the balloon, throw it in the air, and keep it afloat without letting it touch the ground. If it touches the ground, the group is out.

  • Hide the cards in an envelope, pull them out slowly to reveal only a part, and ask children to guess.
  • Encourage with "Good guess, /yeah, maybe!". Once identified fully, ask "Do you like this food?" and guide them to express preferences using "Yes, I like..." or "No, I don't like...".
