Period 1: Greeting & Festival Recall
Objective: Cognitive classification, audio reflex response, and regional cultural tracking.
- Greetings & Continuity: Welcome students warmly and connect back to the conversational themes established during the previous school day.
- Activity (Lake and Shore - Festival Version):
- Draw a wide circle representing the "Lake" and designate the outside as the "Shore".
- When the teacher calls out a Festival Name, children must quickly jump inside the circle.
- When the teacher calls out a Day of the Week, children must quickly jump outside the circle. Making a misstep or wrong choice counts the child out for that round.
- Visual Resources: Showcase regional culture picture cards displaying various local festivals to promote observation.
Period 2: My Time (Learning Corners)
Objective: Foster internal curiosity, student-led coordination, and discovery.
- Corner Rotation: Children independently select and move to designated learning corners according to what they feel like doing today.
- Student-Led Action: They engage with the localized puzzles, blocks, or books inside the chosen space.
- Teacher's Role: Provide active guidance while assuming the primary role of a supportive facilitator.
Period 3: Basic Numerical Knowledge (Fruit Study & Headbands)
Objective: Fine motor scissor crafting, nutritional exploration, and vocabulary identification.
- Introductory Discussion: Initiate the lesson by talking about fruit varieties. Ask targeted questions like: "Name the fruits you eat regularly." or "What is your favorite fruit?"
- Crafting Masks:
- Children draw a fruit picture of their own choice on a sheet and shade it with vibrant colors.
- Using scissors carefully, they make clean cutouts of their illustrated fruit shapes.
- Mount the colored fruit cutout onto a paper head strap to form a structured wearable mask band around their foreheads.
- Nutritional Awareness: Use the activity to encourage children to include more fresh fruits and local green vegetables in their everyday diet.
Period 4: Creative Arts (Rhythmic Group Songs)
Objective: Rhythmic synchronous alignment, physical coordination, and pitch matching.
- Physical Setup: Gather the children to stand closely in a wide, uniform circle inside the room.
- Execution: Lead rhythmic activities where students clap, tap, or swing to musical meters.
- Performance: Encourage singing aloud by implementing fun physical props, character dolls, or specific dramatic body movements.
Period 5: Language Development (Context-Shift Room Labeling)
Objective: Build contextual vocabulary, link text to objects, and check sight reading.
- Interactive Object Listing: List down the names of familiar items in the classroom with active help from the students (e.g., Table, Chair, Door, Window).
- Label Matching: Secure newly written nameplates or tags onto those physical structures. Prepare an identical backup set using distinct flash strips.
- Word Association Games:
- Show flash strips to the class, having them say the words out loud.
- Call out a target word and challenge individual children to walk over to that designated item.
- Encourage children to try and spot those identical vocabulary words inside their active storybooks.
Important Note: For this session, intentionally select terms, contexts, and object scenarios that are completely different from the environments used in previous labeling tasks to broaden their vocabulary.
Period 6: Outdoor Games / Hall Activity (Static Balance Control)
Objective: Mindful breathing control, body stabilization, and motor relaxation.
- Space Preparation: Conduct this core motor activity inside the hall or open classroom. Spread out full-length Jamkhana carpets or mats to provide ample space for each child.
- Supine Rest: Guide children to lie flat on their backs on the mats, encouraging peaceful, quiet breathing.
- Prone Rest: After a few quiet moments, signal them to smoothly turn over and rest on their stomachs, building holistic balance awareness.
Period 7: Story Time (Camel & Fox Puppet Show)
Objective: Narrative analysis, creative dialogue focus, and interpretive speaking.
- Puppet Production: Project distinct characters on a screen or puppet theater framework to narrate the classical story of "The Camel and the Fox".
- Interactive Questioning: The teacher voices the narrative dialogues dynamically and halts periodically to ask reflective questions like: "Why did this happen?" or "What if they did not do that?"
- Student Expression: Gather responses from the children, ensuring they are actively listening while enjoying the theater show.
Period 8: See You Again (Reflective Closure)
Objective: Consolidation of day's tasks, peer reflection, and joyful departure.
- Quick Recall: Lead a brief, interactive summary review of all activities performed throughout the day (Festival jumps, fruit headband crafting, word matching, and the camel puppet show).
- Family Link: Inspire children to describe their favorite interactive games and share their colored fruit masks with parents and family members at home.
- Warm Farewell: Arrange a sweet, happy parting routine to wrap up the session neatly, ensuring they head home excited to return tomorrow. Say goodbye!
