Day 19 Activity Plan

Period & Subject	Activity Details & Methodology
Period 1 Greet, Meet & Conversation	Activity 1: Entry Routine (Kadam Tal) Instruct the children to enter the classroom in an orderly line performing Kadam Tal march while rhythmically counting "Ek-Do-Ek" / "1-2-1-2". Activity 2: Puppet Conversation Materials: A tray containing different types of puppets. Seat the children in a comfortable semicircle. Place the puppet tray in the center. Call the children one by one to freely choose a puppet of their preference from the tray. Ask prompt questions to encourage expression and gather their unique opinions: What is it? Why did you choose this specific toy? Have you ever played with this toy before? Do you like it? Why or why not? Note: Encourage children to answer naturally and confidently in their mother tongue.
Period 2 My Time	Children move independently to their designated learning corners to explore resources. The teacher serves as a supervisor, observer, and compliance index.
Period 3 Basic Numerical Knowledge	Activity 1: Shape Song & Play Materials: Different geometric/shape figures for each child. Distribute different shape cutouts to each child. Introduce or sing an engaging song/poem about shapes. Have the children repeat the song while physically pointing to the matching figures in their hands. Prompt them to touch, inspect, and discuss the features of the figure mentioned. Activity 2: Reading with Illustration (ಚಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಕ ಓದು) Materials: Illustrated picture books, serialized picture storybooks. Encourage children to go through the illustrated books, analyze the visual cues, guess the context/situation, and interpret or read the narrative aloud.
Period 4 Creative Arts	Activity: Letter Tracing & Line Drawing Materials: White paper, rubber letters or cardboard cut-out alphabet letters, colors/crayons. Method: Seat the children in a circle. Distribute sheets of white paper along with the rubber/cardboard cut-out letters. Instruct the children to place the letters on the paper and trace their outer edges to create clear line drawings of the shapes. Let them color the resulting illustrations creatively.
Period 5 Language Development	Core Strategy: Live modeling of the correct writing order on the blackboard. Activity: Interactive Blackboard Writing Method: The teacher should write text directly on the blackboard in front of the children, allowing them to explicitly observe the stroke order, direction, and structural layout of writing. Write the children's names, labels of the pictures drawn by them, and general classroom labels. Ensure that any text intended for the classroom environment is written live in front of the students to foster print awareness.
Period 6 Outdoor Games	Activity: Book Balance Race Materials needed: Textbooks or notebooks. Method: Organize a fun balancing race for the group. Instruct the children to walk towards the finish line while balancing a book flat on their heads. The student who crosses the finish line first without dropping the book is declared the winner.
Period 7 Story Time	Activity: Recalled Storytelling Method: The teacher narrates a story and occasionally pauses to ask the children to recall and complete the remaining segments. Use interactive prompt questions such as: "ಇದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಏನಿತ್ತು?" (What was on top of this?) "ಆಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಯಾರು ಹೇಳಿದರು?" (Then who said that?) Conclude the narration with easy, direct comprehension questions.
Period 8 See You Again	Recap & Reflect: Conduct a rapid, engaging summary of all structural activities performed throughout Day 19. Home Sharing: Motivate the children to actively describe the games, puppet stories, and shape activities to their parents and family members. Warm Farewell: Arrange a small cheerful farewell routine ensuring that the children leave the school happy and eager to return the following day.
